About Us
Orewa Bridge Club is a 'Not For Profit' society, affiliated to NZ Bridge, that is required to comply with the requirements of the Incorporated Societies Act 2022 and re-register by April 2026. To do this, the Committee have reviewed our current processes and procedures and has been following the recommendations outlined by NZ Bridge.
The new requirements mean changes to the way we manage our club, the way we report on our finances, and the content of our constitution. There will also now be greater accountability for individual officers of the committee for compliance with the laws associated with the Act.
The committee will keep members updated with progress via regular newsletters.

PRIORITIES FOR THE COMMITTEE 1. Support and Resource the Club to build engagement and participation. 2. Raise the profile of the game to capture anybody and everybody playing the game no matter where and when. 3. Improve systems and resources. 4. Promote the perception that the game is cool for all ages. |
