Orewa Bridge Club is a 'Not For Profit' society, affilliated to NZ Bridge, that is required to comply with the requirements of the Incorporated Societies Act 2022 and re-register by April 2026. To do this, the Committee have reviewed our current processes and procedures and has been following the recommendations outlined by NZ Bridge.
The new requirements mean changes to the way we manage our club, the way we report on our finances, and the content of our constitution. There will also now be greater accountabiity for individual officers of the committee for compliance with the laws associated with the Act.
The committee will keep members updated with progress via regular newsletters.
